"I would fight a dozen men like Front-de-Boeuf," Athelstane added to Cedric, "if it would get me out of a prison where they put so much garlic in their food!"

In the meantime, Isaac of York was down in the dark dungeon of Torquilstone. It was very cold and damp, because the dungeon was deeper than even the moat itself. There were only two small holes at the top of the wall for air and light.
