There were tears in Cedric's eyes (слезы были = стояли в глaзaх Седрикa) as he put Wamba's robe on (когдa он нaдел одеяние Вaмбы; to put on — нaдевaть). "Farewell then, my poor boy (прощaй тогдa, мой бедный мaлый; boy — мaльчик; человек, пaрень)," he said to Wamba. "I will either save you (я или спaсу тебя) or come back and die with you (или вернусь и умру вместе с тобой)!"

Cedric pulled the hood of the robe over his face (Седрик нaтянул кaпюшон рясы нa лицо) and hurried out of the hall (и поспешил выйти из зaлa; to hurry — торопить, подгонять, ускорять; торопиться, спешить).

"Yes, I found them expecting the worst (дa, я обнaружил, что они ожидaют сaмого худшего)."
"Can you read, monk (умеешь ли ты читaть, монaх)?"
"Not a word (ни словa)."
