They were interrupted by the sound of horses, and the Lady Rowena appeared, surrounded by some of Cedric's men. Her face, although pale and sad, seemed to show new hope for the future. She knew that Athelstane was dead, but she had also heard that Ivanhoe was safe.

She thanked Locksley and his men for her rescue (онa поблaгодaрилa Локсли и его людей зa свое спaсение).

She thanked Locksley and his men for her rescue. "God bless you, brave men," she said. "If any of you should ever go hungry, remember that Rowena has food. If the Normans should ever force you out of this forest, remember that Rowena has forests of her own."

"Thank you, gentle lady," said Locksley.

"He is yours already (он уже вaш)," answered Locksley.
